As Director of Finance and Administration, Ms. Harscheid’s primary responsibilities encompass a variety of administrative and financial functions, including hands-on financial operations and reporting, budgeting, and vendor services. She is responsible for all licensing and compliance requirements of the organization, the preparation of materials and schedules for annual audit, and review of financial documents prepared by the auditor. Additionally, she provides oversight for all publications and printed materials and is instrumental in developing human resources for the organization, including recruiting, hiring, training, outsourcing, and supervising staff, and the review and administration of benefits.

As Secretary-Treasurer of The Washington Campus Corporation, she works closely with the CEO to develop board materials for semi-annual meetings and committee meetings; prepares board-meeting minutes; and maintains records of board member terms of office. Additionally, she handles the logistical arrangements for in-person board meetings.

Ms. Harscheid has also served on various board committees, including secretary to the Search Committee for the selection of the President and CEO, in which she developed the schedule and outline of the search process; the Strategic Planning Committee, established to develop a 5-year plan for the organization; and the Marketing Committee.

Before joining the Campus in 1987, she was Office Manager/Secretary-Treasurer at Redtree Associates, Inc., a graphic design studio specializing in publications for the non-profit sector and political campaigns; and Alvin Rosenbaum Projects, Inc., an independent book publishing company in Washington, DC. Prior to that, she was Assistant Banquet and Office Manager at the Watergate Hotel, and Assistant Branch Cashier in both the London, England, and Washington, DC, office of Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada.

Ms. Harscheid received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from the College of Notre Dame in Baltimore, Maryland.
