David C. Nutter
Director, Academic Programs
The Washington Campus

Mr. Nutter is the Senior Director of Academic Programs at The Washington Campus, responsible for the development of MBA and EMBA curricula, identifying faculty members from Capitol Hill, the Administration, universities, and the business community, and managing MBA and EMBA programs.

Before coming to The Washington Campus, Mr. Nutter served at the 2005 White House Conference on Aging – a once a decade event hosted by the White House.  In this capacity, Mr. Nutter mitigated issues that arose with the delegates to the Conference and also assisted with all activities related to the special participants including guests and VIPs.

Prior to that, Mr. Nutter served as the Director of Strategic Alliances at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University.  He developed a series of conferences specifically designed for the minority caucuses titled:  Freedom to Prosper.  Mr. Nutter also was the director of the Congressional Chief of Staff Retreat that was hosted by the Mercatus Center for three consecutive years.  This Retreat is annually attended by chiefs of staff from both parties and from both the Senate and the House.  It is the largest bi-partisan gathering of senior staff.

Mr. Nutter has worked in both the public and private sectors.  He has served as a marketing executive for Fortune 500 companies and as a salesman for entrepreneurial business concerns.  Mr. Nutter began his career as an epidemiologist at the Department of Public Health in Michigan and has served as an at-will appointment in a gubernatorial administration in Richmond, Virginia.

He holds three degrees from Michigan State University and has pursued graduate work at Middlebury College and Die Johannes Gutenberg Universität Mainz in Germany.
