Amanda serves as a Senior Program Coordinator for The Washington Campus. Her responsibilities include planning logistics, performing administrative work, maintaining client relations, implementing various business and public policy programs for the Campus, and updating the company website and social media.
Prior to joining The Campus, Amanda worked for a national education newspaper, Education Week. She was responsible for creating and coordinating social media posts for the live and virtual events run by Education Week across multiple platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Wordpress, and Storify. She also worked on outreach to other education companies and websites in order to spread the word about Education Week events and social media.
Amanda was born in Brazil and moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, at age six. Her love of travelling, languages, and politics brought her to American University in Washington, DC. After studying abroad in St. Petersburg, Russia, for an academic year, she graduated with a B.A. in International Relations and a minor in Russian Language.
