Kathryn Hauser is Senior Vice President for Programs at The Washington Campus.  She is responsible for organizing and leading intensive, experiential MBA and Executive MBA courses for a consortium of the nation’s leading business schools as well as education seminars customized for a variety of for-profit, non-profit and public sector partners.  She works closely with each graduate business school participating in the Washington Campus Consortium to ensure that the MBA program is in alignment with its curricular goals. In addition to developing course content and recruiting senior policy speakers, she lectures on corporate advocacy and international trade policy.  She is passionate about business-government relations and the unique opportunity provided by the Washington Campus to enable MBA students to understand the intersection of business, government and public policy that exists in Washington, D.C.

Ms. Hauser is a seasoned public affairs executive, with more than 25 years of comprehensive experience in public affairs and international government relations and significant achievements in international policy, legislation and regulation. Prior to joining The Washington Campus in October 2016, she was Managing Partner of Policy Connections International, LLC, a consulting firm providing external relations services to globally-engaged companies and non-profit organizations. She regularly engaged with Congress, the Executive Branch, regulatory agencies, foreign governments, business associations, standards-setting organizations and stakeholder groups. She continues as a Senior Fellow for the Global Federation of Competitiveness Councils and advisor to the President of the U.S. Council on Competitiveness, and is a frequent public speaker on trade policy and innovation.

Previously, she served as the U.S. Executive Director of the TransAtlantic Business Dialogue (2005-2012) and held senior positions at the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI), a private investment advisory firm, and Bell Atlantic Corporation, now known as Verizon.  She began her career at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative where she served as Deputy Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for Multilateral Negotiations and staff assigned to the Senate Finance Committee Subcommittee on Trade.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California and a Master of Arts degree from Columbia University.
